Have you had a pimento cheese sandwich? Just thinking of a sandwich maybe you haven’t tried. I think your daughter will be the one who loves it. Pimento cheese on crackers is a great little snack. And you should be able to find a good recipe for making the pimento cheese spread.

I’ve had a French dip sandwich only once about 30 years ago at a place in Los Angeles that is famous for them. I thought they were overrated and bland.
I just recently found out that the restaurant served the sandwich since may be around the 1930s and apparently they have never changed. Also, apparently they weren’t much into seasoning food very well in the 1930s. It was fine for people‘s taste buds of that time. But I had it in the 90s and I wasn’t crazy about it.
Maybe if I make it myself at home or get it from a different restaurant I would like it more but so far the one and only experience I had, I wasn’t thrilled about it.
I’m glad you are using baguettes for crusty bread. Sliced or broken up pieces of baguettes is what you should’ve used when you had your spinach artichoke dip.
