Enjoyed on a sunny Sunday at Amelie in San Francisco.

First got exposed on our visit to Booker a little over a year ago. Did the Library Tasting and loved the experience!

Booker is great for a sunny day. It's a somewhat juicier Grenache that drinks softer than its 14% ABV would suggest.

Gave this an hour decant, then back into the bottle, before bringing to Amelie. Gave this a little more air in bottle while we enjoyed some flights, then moved onto The Ripper.

This is in a great place now. While the first splash was a little juicy, but also tight, now it was open for business.

Notes of red cherry, cherry cola, blueberry, cinnamon, and slight leather.

On the palate, this is surprisingly somewhat savory, in a good way. Still got a lot of fruit, but enjoyed the complexity that the more savory notes brought out.

Was a great deal at $60!

91 points.
