The latest episode of Chewed Up is all about cooking for yourself — no compromises, no preferences to juggle, just pure comfort food made exactly how you want it.
Michael Symon shares one of his favorite “home alone” meals: a walk-away French-style omelet, designed to deliver creamy, delicate eggs without the pressure of traditional chef techniques. Inspired by classic French omelets and legends like Jacques Pépin, Michael breaks down how to create soft curds, avoid browning, and let residual heat do the work — proving that great eggs are more about method than skill.
Along the way, Clinton Kelly and Carla Hall dive into egg nostalgia, diner breakfasts, dishwasher debates, personal style confessions, and fan mail questions that spiral into hilarious tangents. The trio also discusses why people are so passionate about how eggs should be cooked — and why there’s really no wrong answer.

Good morning, Chewies
Loving the sweater Clinton! My hubby makes the best eggs of any form.
I love eggs almost anyway !!!
I adore you all. Look forward to each episode
Wow,🤣🤣🤣
I think Carla’s giveaway is awesome!!!
❤❤Super like 👍👍😊
Bye all. Congratulations Theresa. !!!
Other than Clinton’s cookie making fail, I have not laughed as much as Carla’s clothes closet clean out giveaway. Thanks for starting my Monday off so well.
Very dry looking omelet 😢
Read your dishwasher manual. They all state that the detergent will damage the inside of the dishwasher if there is no food for it to work on. Or something to that effect.
You guys are so funny!
Love a good French omelette. Sometimes I have with arugula salad and homemade croutons.
If I don’t rinse the dishes before putting them in…they just do t get clean.
Made me hungry, I ran to the kitchen and made a Mediterranean omelette.. ❤️
Love your giveaways!!!

Dying! Usually I am hoping my name gets pulled- not this time. Hahaha!😆 but laughed so hard!

I love Carla's style! Those knee-high Converse sneakers are 🔥!
I love this! And that pan sticking is the best!!
Great morning!
Love your show
I could always make a decent omelette until I started watching the chefs show how to do it and I have never been able to fold it the right way. I’ve had hex clad pan that sticks like crazy as well.
❓Question here, where do we put in our fan mail question do we put them in here?
Thank you Michael! I made your walk away omelet this morning (just cheese and sal, of course). It wasn’t the first omelet I’ve ever made but it was the best. Finishing with butter really adds to it. Yum! Love all of you!
One time I got an omelet at this diner in a very small town in the U.P. it came to the table and my friends dad said, "I didn't know you got a steak" there was plenty of brown on that omelet haha 😂
Carla’s closet and omelette’s- classic!
😂😂😂😂
I am so relieved that I am not the only one with a sticky Hexclad pan.
I was watching a cooking show and she put eggs in the oven to make "dressed" eggs. Have you ever fixed whole eggs in the oven?
There's no need to introduce everyone since Nick does that before the show starts.
Michael the walk away omelet you made looks delicious. I'll be making that!
Love Love Love Clinton's sweater❤
I learned years ago thru trial and error that eggs can't be cooked with high heat or they become like rubber.
To lighten the egg flavor, I wisk eggs with little water instead of milk.
I'm no chef, but love to experiment in the kitchen, therefore I discovered the "turn off heat & add the pan top" years ago.
The manager of the local appliance store explained to me the reason for the scrape, no rinse dishes was due to the removal of phosphates in the dish detergent. The phosphates were replaced with enzymes. In order for the enzymes to work there needs to be food left on the dishes. Today’s dishwashers also have some form of food chopper for the food.
I have Freakin' Fabulous and I Hate Everyone Except You. I love Clinton and his books!
I'm a size 2. I want that giveaway 😍
I don;t like my Hexclad pan just for that reason. Had to buy another brand to cook eggs.
I love my hexcad pans, however eggs are one thing i do not use them for. They do always stick for some reason.
Loving Clinton's sweater….first comment as I watch somewhere before 10:00 am Ohio time! Hello Chewies!!
I love unscheduled mistakes because you guys teach us how to overcome them!🩷🩷🩷thk you !!!😍
Michael is a FANTASTIC teacher
Eggs always stick in my hexclad! I never use it for them anymore.
Carla bringing in her Goodwill bag for giveaway!! Lmao! I love you guys!
If indeed there is any imperfection in an omelette it can't be seen beyond the beauty of the plate it's on what's say you put that in the fan giveaway and pull my name for a change please and thank you😊
Adore the way you dress Carla and I was just hunting for those high top sneakers or knee hi Converse🎉🎉🎉🎉
A great way to start my week.
Gordon Ramsey! Suck it!
Hex clad is not worth it, MADE IN is great , less $ than All clad , Even Usa herritage steel aint bad the rivits are not perfect tho
Please have Michael explain what he was saying he ate with his omelet – some French word that they all knew what he was talking about, but we home cooks are clueless @ some of these “chef words” they have a tendency to throw around – although, truth be told, usually they do give an explanation of what they mean. . . Most of the time . . . Today . . . ???
