shoutout soulfly!
I like watching your channel because of your loving relationship with your father! Happy New Year to your whole family and thank you for sharing!
welp, The Bear is ruined for me
Best I ever heard from our head chef was "you're not my customer. You're my guest. Guests who are rude are asked to leave and they are seldom asked back, darling." He was…and IS…one of the biggest, most profound, PERFECT, sociopathic assholes to ever exist. But I will say this about him…if you can eat his Shepherd's Pie without creaming yourself, I'll give you fifty bucks.
SOULFLYY! 🤘
yayaya
Aw man I wanted to see "The Menu"
I didn't expect to like the bear turned out it was great
i would love to see a reaction to the Boiling point movie or series which really shows the effects being a chef can have on your mental health.
ye ye ye ye
sick soulfly shirt
4:30 "A girl named drool and a pack of kools" by the suicideboys.
The jazz
Some context for that scene in ‘The Bear.’ Only one of these characters has worked in a professional restaurant, and all the other characters haven’t really. That’s why they are extra unprofessional and unprepared. The main character has to turn what was once a sandwich place into a possible Michelin star level restaurant, and it’s… a process.
Also, ‘Food Wars’ is the best, however, it’s so not for kids. If you watch more you’ll see why.
I didn’t like the bear either. Too over the top and annoying. Agreed with his opinions 100 percent.
Nobody gonna mention the Soulfly shirt? Just me? 😂
Yo that soulfly shirt is hard!
Show your dad the food wars version but IRL recipes. He would be surprised of the amount of recipes recreated, especially the Gotcha Pork Roast that he saw and thought wouldn't work.
Your dad is missing the context of that episode in the bear though. He is a professional chef working with his cousins and a bunch of blue-collar people who have never worked in a high-level kitchen before that he has been trying to train himself so he is kind of working with irritating people, like his cousin, who is the manager. I think your dad would feel differently about the show if he knew the context. 😉
I think Dad was missing context from the first clip of The Bear. The Chef is the owner of the restaurant and he turned it into a fancy restaurant from being basically a sandwich shop. And the woman manager is his sister and the FOH manager is his cousin, neither of them have worked in a regular restaurant before being roped into running an newly opened restaurant so it really is on him as not only the chef but owner and only one with actual fine dining experience to have prepared them or hired more qualified people to do their job.
iirc Food Wars has recipes for all the dishes shown in the anime
maybe you can try to make one? idk
Binging with Babish made the Gotcha pork roast. It turned out exactly like in the Anime. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfrLH0T0rdU&ab_channel=BabishCulinaryUniverse
Watched the first season of The Bear during the covid lockdowns as the restaurant I had been working at closed its doors forever. There was a moment near the end of the season where tickets were hanging off the printer and rolled down to the floor, people were walking out, they're 86'ing items, the staff is freaking out and there's a general sense of chaos that gave me a literal PTSD moment because of how accurate it was to a handful of moments I'd experienced in my 27 year restaurant career. Stopped watching because of that.
Can you guys watch “Grand Maison Tokyo”?
