The winery “Las Moradas de San Martín” is located in the municipality of San Martín de Valdeiglesias (Madrid) at an altitude of 890 m above sea level. It has a temperate climate with hot and dry summer. The average annual temperature of the area is 13.4ºC. In winter they reach 0.8ºC while in summer they exceed 30ºC. The average annual rainfall is 381 mm.
The aging period in red wine barrels is at least 14 months in French oak barrels. 40% of production is for export. Currently, they cultivate more than 30 hectares, of which 21 are their own vineyards and the rest are concessions.
The type of grape grown is Garnacha for red wines and Albillo Real for white wines. Both the crops and the wine production process are made in an ecological way.
