Thank u 2 Fondation EDF for last night at the closing week of the 3-month Dan(s) e La Lumière Festival, curated by underground dance wizard Saido Lehlouh. Saido even made it to present his crew UnitS before running off to another theater where his pièce #Témoin was being performed.
Last night: the brilliant female hip hop crew UnitS#, was followed by Ballet Preljocaj Junior, some of whom train at Rosella Hightower in Cannes. I’m in Cannes constantly for work and have always been curious about what goes on up there. A fresh 45-minute second act, followed by gourmet canapés and fresh juices in the lobby.
The festival wraps this weekend with a famous French high school performing hip hop before the team has a sleepless week setting up the next exhibition.
