Found this bottle at an estate sale and picked it up for $10. I know little about wine and less about this specific bottle, couldn’t find info online either. Cork and wax seems to be in good condition, only about an inch of air between cork and wine, which seems normal for a 60 year old bottle, and color seems nice too! What should I do with this? Keep it? Sell it? Drink it on a special occasion?

Looks like one of those rare bottlings where the merchant bought a barrel & did the bottling themselves. Bordeaux stopped that practice sometime in the early ’70s. Collectors of very old wines know the differences between the various merchants

I would characterize 1966 as a vintage that was sort of comparable to 1996

You probably can’t sell it for much without provenance it was always stored in cellar conditions. I wouldn’t drink it on an occasion, as it may well be awful. Is it safe? Almost certainly. Is it drinkable? There’s only one way to find out.
