This is everything I ate in one of my favorite places in the world: Nice, France.
First, Cafe Fino, with good specialty coffee and tasty brunch that would have greatly impressed us if everything else in Nice weren’t just so delicious.
Baked goods from a proper boulangerie! These breads were like if pizza and focaccia had a baby. Plus, the best pain au chocolat we’ve had so far in France.
We finally ate at a fancy French restaurant for some profoundly beautiful spreads, breads, and socca. For dessert, a very sweet Swiss chard and fig pastry that sounded too interesting not to try, but tasted almost too interesting to finish.
A tiny little cafe called Brume genuinely blew our minds. Great coffee, refreshing juice, maybe the best cookie I’ve ever had, and without a doubt the best cafe food we’d had in Europe…so far!
A post-beach bakery snack because I’m compelled to get at least one savory spinach pastry everywhere I go. This one was good, but in my opinion, Greece still has the One Spinach Pastry to Rule them All.
And then one last really beautiful specialty cafe with great coffee. In Nice, everything everywhere is great. I love it here so much that I’m sad to leave, but as always, I’m happy we got to come in the first place.
