During the next days of our trip to Beaujolais, France, we see the Golden Village of Oingt, when you watch the video, you will understand why it is called “golden”. After that, we try self-service wine tasting in the Oenotheque of Château de Pizay. We also visited some of the beautiful cemeteries.

The main grape variety in Beaujolais is Gamay, and we were so positively surprised. Of course, many of the wine growers have done a hard job, changing from quantity to quality, changing pruning methods and cellaring philosophies. But the result is nothing less than fabulous. We are already planning our next trip to Beaujolais this year (2024).
