It is not that easy to find French Galettes here in Singapore but at The French Fold, you have a wide variety of them! For those who may not know, Galette in French cuisine means something that is usually flat or round and in this case, The French Fold is serving its galettes in the form of savoury crepes.
Went to the Orchard outlet for breakfast and it has to be one of the more aesthetically pleasing cafes I have been to, with both indoor and al fresco dining area. Ordered galette no. 15 and a cup of hot latte as usual. Not quite sure how the numbers came about but I just ordered the one with seemingly the most ingredients in it. No. 15 contains sausage, pork pancetta, sunny side up egg, baked beans, tomato and mushroom, akin to a typical breakfast platter served in the form of a galette. The dish is really like a work of art, with all the ingredients slightly visible through the small opening at the top, you need to “unfold” the sleeves to reveal the entire plate, quite an interesting presentation method!
