For the 250 subscriber mark, here is a tour of some lesser German wine grapes.
Wines tasted:
1. Fur Mich 2021 Dry Silvaner (Saal-Unstrut)
— nice nose, sharply dry, fruity finish. Would definitely pair with food
2. Fur Mich 2021 Semi-dry Kerner (Saal-Unstrut)
— Notes of fruit, mildly dry, pleasnt itself or with food. Recommend
3. Akzent 2021 Elbling (Mosel)
— Clear complex flavor with distinct layers. Pairs with a variety of foods and is nice a s a nice wine on its own. Recommended.
4. Wurtemburgish Weingartner 2021 Schwarzriesling
— Did not like, would not recommend.
5. Deutche Weintor 2021 dry Dornfelder (Pfalz). Nice, promising seli-fruity well-rounded wine. Recommended
6. Baddischer Weinkeller 2021 Spättburgnder. Rounded wine somewhere between the Dornfelder and the Schartzriesling. Might be ok, but better wines are available elsewhere.
7. Graf Neipperg 2017 Lemberger. Nice dark color, full body and full of flavor. The best of the red wines I tried. Strongly recommended.
