  1. I’m not a breakfast person, but most people I know are. However, last July when I was in France, I stayed at an Ibis in Saumur. I didn’t realize breakfast was included. They had several cheeses, breads, pastries, meats (unfortunately all pork), and yogurts. It was prepared for hungry, bike riding Germans! So, I loved the cheese and yogurt with homemade jams, and honey. Back to the breads. There were about 8 different types, but none gluten free. I did take some pills to be able to use some of the homemade butter. So good! Unlike some Americans, Ive always had access to great bread. Recently, I have a gluten sensitivity. Bakeries tell people or it’s posted when the fresh bread comes out of the oven. I especially loved a warm chocolate croissant.

  2. if you can could you make a bagquette from home so those of us who don't live in France can make some delicious bread.

  3. Wow! What amazing looking food – all those breakfasts looked appealing. Paris knows how to feed people with the best foods available . Loved this video.

  4. Love your videos! You should collaborate sometime with Feli from Germany. Do you know her channel? She's probably about the same age as you, and does content educating Americans (and others) on life in Germany, the language, etc. just as you do with France. I'd say you two have a similar style.

It would be interesting to hear a conversation between you two comparing France and Germany, as well as preconceptions others have, etc. .

  5. Feeding water birds bread fills their tummy but gives them no nutritional value which stunts their full body growth to the point of them not even developing wings. They can’t fly and in some cases can not even walk properly😞

  6. All this can be found in America and yes america has bakeries that provide fresh bread 💀 comparing tiny European countries to the massive United States is absolutely absurd.

  7. Lovely, compared to what you pay at McDonalds – it's a bargain. I love French Cuisine. When it comes to hot chocolate – try the thick Italian one in winter (it's like pudding – very dense). My favourite is Mille Feuille, but I never had a bad french pie or tart.

  8. Surely calling the Palais de l'Elysee 'the French White House' is incorrect and you have this the wrong way around. It must be the case that The White House is 'The American Palais de l'Elysee'! The Palais de l'Elysee is about 70 years older.

  9. but for us Indonesians, a crepes that costs €3,50 is insanely expensive, oh how pitiful our Rupiah is :'

  10. Congratulations on the National Geographic partnership 🎉! Very cool and I will check the episode out

  11. 13:02 kinda funny that French toast was originally a poor man’s meal (as a use for old stale bread) is now served in a Michelin restaurant.

Btw in Belgium French toast is named “found or lost bread” because of those origins

  12. Bobby: "this crepe and coffee is only $5?! what can you get for $50?!"

obviously, 10 crepes! all the flavors 😂

  13. It all looks amazing. For a special treat, I would want the last two.
Here’s a question: You had so many items in the first few videos. Could you take them home? My 🇫🇷 MIL thought the concept of a “doggy bag” was hysterical. Maybe it’s a thing now? We never ask for one in France.

  14. If you’re ever in New Jersey, you MUST swing by the original Calandra’s bakery location on Bloomfield Ave. in Newark. Wait for the hot rolls to come out and be prepared to enjoy a taste of heaven.

  15. I just came back from Paris and I went to Maison Marie in the 10th arrondissement. My favourite was the escargot au chocolat et pistache. Sooooo gooood. And it was only 2 euro.

  16. For the most expensive breakfast, I’d prefer either Plaza Athenée or Ritz 😬😬 Lucille should definitely go try them out… Oh and Ritz has yummy sandwiches too
