Made this for dinner tonight – really nice, everyone liked it, especially the creamy, cheesy topping.
Orange Cheddar is the exact same thing as white cheddar except orange has the food coloring added to it. It is not a different cheese. It doesn't taste different or melt differently. I don't use it because I prefer cheese without the coloring added.

So, I made this for a family dinner last night. All of the sauce sunk down into the beef mixture, so it was basically creamy beef soup with dry potatoes on top.
