This coffee comes from La Ilusion, grown by the highly skilled farmer Ernesto Menendez. We’ve been featuring Ernesto’s coffees since opening in 2009, and this SL28 is a perfect example of the variety’s vibrant character.

French Press Brewing Guide:

15g coffee
230–250g water
Steep for 4 minutes

Breaking the crust:
After 4 minutes, gently break the crust with two spoons. This releases the aromas and enhances the natural process characteristics of the coffee.

Serve & enjoy:
Plunge and pour. Expect a smooth, sweet cup with bright acidity and a creamy body.

  1. My only problem with the french press…ect. that you loose the crema, which has a lot of essential oil from the beans and it also carries and riches the aroma of the coffee. And me personally i only drink espresso straight.(no sugar or milk) with a small glass of water before the coffee, i picked this habit up while i was in Napoli.😅
