DAY 14.2 PARIS to NORMANDY TRAIN
On 14 May 2025 we excitedly jumped aboard a train to Normandy, equipped with baguettes and French wine. We travelled second class – it was excellent! The views were beautiful, and the train fast! Our next adventure begins!
NB Thank you so much to one of my viewers who pointed out this is not a high-speed train. It took just under 2 hours to arrive in Caen. It certainly was fast, compared to what I am used to in New South Wales Central West in Australia!! 🙂

sorry to burst your bubble but there is no such thing as a high-speed train from Paris to Caen as the TGV doesn't cover the Normandy region. Also, when i was growing up, in the 70s and 80s, the journey by train from Paris to Caen took 1h50 with what was called a "turbotrain".
