t'as eu raison de crier 🤣par contre le Cassoulet est bien meilleur !
french food is just british food with a PR agent. it's slop with maybe butter and salt as the only seasoning
I can personally confirm the Popeye's in Renton actually does suck
beef cabbage is mirror universe chicken potato
Turnip cake is a dimsum item that is top tier but white people would never know to order it based on the description
4:55 Pardon, Ryan?
MOUNT VERNON MENTIONED! Wow I feel so special now this has never happened
2:00 Turnip cake, also called radish cake in English, is the bomb. A must-get with dim sum. I bet it would be easy to find a great radish cake in Vancouver.
Turnip cake is like one of the most iconic dim sum dishes after har gao and shiu mai
16:13 THE STRONGEST DESSERT IN HISTORY VS THE STRONGEST DESSERT OF TODAY
Milkshake can be better, but it did not say salted peanut caramel chocolate and banana milkshake or whatever, it said milkshake. So you're comparing vanilla milkshake to chocolate mousse, it's no contest.
People prefer Ragout over Cassoulet???
Bro the beans hate has GOT to stop, this is going too far!!!
French food is the best. I had rooster ragout after a night of drinking and I was ready to march
I think food content brings out the highest f-bomb count out of any type of content for NL.
Thank you king for standing for us
To be fair, if people still can't bring themselves to truly hate on French food despite half the internet piling on us for the meme because of US propaganda, I'd say we still have people doing a pretty good job in our country. Even if on the occasion it's misrepresented and gets more stupid criticism than it deserves.
Btw as an exemple : No, French food is not too fancy or too expensive, you're just only recognizing french food at high end restaurant and in gastronomy where there are a significant amount of French dishes. These are just however a fraction of our cuisine.
14:43 worst all time nl take
Pour les services rendus à la Nation, Ryan Gary Letourneau sera nominé à la Légion d'honneur.
I'm living in Lyon and learned that good food makes you feel good too. New world food is delicious but makes you feel like shit a lot of the time
"There's 8 or 12 Korean restaurants in my town" is such a weak strawman, cuz at that point the person doesn't live in a town, they live in a city. I don't think my town even has 8 restaurants, and if you ignore fast food, most of them are just B-tier "pizzeria" family restaurants and one obligatory Chinese restaurant. I think NL can't help but see himself and where he lives as the default for his strawmen and thus they all have access to Vancouver levels of cuisine whenever he brings this sort of thing up. He just consistently underestimates how much of a cultural desert rural America is. My only real options for varied cuisine would require over half an hour of driving to reach, or spending $50 on Doordash for $20 of food and waiting for nearly an hour to get it delivered.
That said, I'm not gonna be a poser and say that I wish I had more options. I'm a picky eater and my town has pizza, burgers, and fries, so I'm pretty much good.
16:55 it far easier to get a bad milkshake than a bad mousse
My man never had mousse😪
Americans are so use to gassing up american bbq. That is the most overrated type of food all all time. More often than not it is dry, all you taste is smoke and you need a sauce it make it edible. Their comeback argument is always you have just not had good bbq without telling you why it is good. It is one dimensional the first bite will be the same as the last bite. Smoked turkey and chicken is so dry all the moisture from the breast is sucked out you can see the striations of the protein strands on the breast meat that has becomes fibrous and chalky. Pulled pork is the worst example of this they get stuck between your teeth and you need to floss to get it out. Fall off the bone ribs are mushy and overly sweet. Why not take a nice piece of côte de boeuf preferably from ribs 6-9 chuck end, cook it to the perfect cuisson with all the intramuscular/ kernel fat rendered, well rested then finish it off with a lick of the flame for the final charring and bringing it back up to temperature is so much better than American BBQ.
This is my first time even hearing of Colcannon, but what the FUCK do you mean mashed potatoes with cabbage, bacon and scallions got 68%? How in the fuck does third of the people on that fuck ass website see those ingredients and go "nah, that sounds bad"? The fuck?
NL the type of person to eat food in his country and say he tasted the world
As a french seeing a frickin ragout beating a cassoulet made me way too mad. Genuinly had to step back from my PC.
There is a part of the population that can't enjoy traditional western european food because they burned their palate with spices and now every other nuance of taste is lost on them
14:35 tempura actually originates from Portuguese missionaries. Fun!
6:30 NL has never set foot in a grocery store. Literally every Save On, Superstore, Walmart in the GVA has sausage rolls at the deli counter lol
Japan respects Italian food? I can't tell if he's joking
9:50 Technically, Frybread is an invention of the independent native nations of the US, not the US itself. They are legally distinct countries, and it feels unfair to not mention its native American roots at all.
Mon streamer 🇫🇷
mousse is 95% air
nah the Popeyes in Louisiana sucks ass. Long wait times, poor management, bad preparation standards, and everyone working there is clearly unhappy.
You can get better fried chicken at local chains like Blue Store & Empire Wingz.
8:58 knn hahaha
Never take anyone seriously if they judge Chinese/French/Mexican food on the purely visual aspect
4:05 don’t mix the rest of us up with you anglos 🤬
9:49 the appropriate reaction to hsp getting shafted (though that photo is disgraceful, who puts salad on a hsp??)
You're telling me a goat made this water?
