Music is subjective, but how I interpret this song (and I believe Harry mentioned it in an interview before) is about a couple on their last days together before ultimately splitting up. Not because of anything bad, but simply because they weren’t a compatible match as well as they thought they were. This song is a Melancholic realization that the person you thought was gonna be your forever actually isn’t. Love the theming and it’s my favorite song on the album!
I loved 'American Girls' too but this one is easily my favorite Harry Styles song I have ever heard. I cannot even put it into words. It is hands down the best track of the year. He is a genius. 🤦

last year i got the 'your godfather is dead' message for Easter. spent it completely alone, working, trying to process everything. this year I am spending Easter with my friends baking Easter cakes i haven't had in a couple of years, launching my business, and enjoying life. even when it seemed dark and felt cold, I knew that my time would come. i kept going and showing up even when the grief felt immense and unbearable. i know my old man would be proud of me. i miss him 🙁
