Mosbolletjies have become synonymous with harvest time at La Motte. They are only available for as long as Baker Ricardo can get the fermenting grape juice from the cellar.

Guests love them for their brioche-type texture and unique aniseed flavour, they are charming as French toast on our Breakfast menu and they are an intrinsic part of the season for our team. A mosbolletjie rusk is the perfect start to an early morning and a pick-me-up after long hours in the vineyard or cellar.
