Pistachio Financiers with Orange Caramel 💚🍊
In today’s recipe I’m making soft and buttery pistachio financiers inspired by MasterChef.
These elegant French tea cakes are made with nutty pistachios and rich brown butter, giving them an amazing bakery-style flavor. Perfect for tea time, dessert, or when you want to make something special at home.
This recipe is simple, eggless, and beginner-friendly, so anyone can try it!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup pistachio powder
1/2 cup maida (all-purpose flour)
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup milk powder
3/4 cup buttermilk
Recipe:
1. Brown the butter
Take a thick-bottom pan and heat the butter on low flame until it turns light golden and aromatic (brown butter). Strain it and keep aside.
2. Make the batter
In a bowl, add the warm brown butter and sugar. Whisk well until the sugar starts dissolving.
3. Add dry ingredients
Add maida, baking powder, pistachio powder, and milk powder. Mix well.
4. Add buttermilk
Pour in the buttermilk and mix until you get a smooth batter.
5. Bake
Grease the moulds and pour the batter into them.
On gas: Bake in a preheated heavy pan/kadai on low flame for about 20 minutes.
In oven: Bake at 180°C for 18–20 minutes.
