Need help figuring out what to put above my bed

Hi! I used to have a basket wall above my bed which I really liked but it was way too dusty and the baskets kept falling off the wall. Now I just have a blank wall and I can’t figure out what to do. I’m considering some sort of shelf/shelves? But I really have no idea. I would love any help! Also open to paint suggestions because I will be repainting this room soon! I love the green ceiling but the white walls/white bed frame is a bit too much white for me personally.

    Shelves over the bed seems like a hazard to me. I’d go with a large framed art print.

    As a side note, I’d LOVE to go to town with a magic eraser on your door.

    I would hang framed art. I love the green ceiling. Maybe a softer color on the walls.

    I’d personally skip shelves right above the bed. Even if they’re secure, it can feel a little visually heavy in that spot.

    Since you loved the basket before, I’d lean back into texture but keep it flatter to the wall. A large woven wall piece, textile art, or even a big fabric panel in warm tones would soften all the white and tie in with the ceiling.

    I’d also repaint the walls something softer and warmer. The green ceiling is great, but the stark white walls + white bed frame are what’s making it feel a little flat. A warm off-white, very pale sage, or even a muted clay tone would make everything feel more cohesive.

    Right now it just needs warmth and balance, not necessarily more furniture or other “stuff”.

    The ceiling looks quite low/ or your bed is quite high.I think it will be a bit too much if you add a picture frame on top.

    I love the shade of green, what colour are you thinking of repainting? What’s your vibe/style, what do you want your room to feel like?

    In my bedroom i painted the trims and the door a dusty pink and my wardrobe a similar colour to your ceiling.

    Is it just the camera shot or is your ceiling lower than 8 ft? I love the green!
