Any suggestions with what to do with the middle / tall vertical section of this built in? We were think of some sort of art, but can’t find anything that would look good.
You could hang the pothos (?) plant from a hook in the vertical space

Put a rechargeable art light (from Amazon) at the top and then two square pieces of art and an artesian vase at the bottom with wispy tall twigs. The size of the art should leave about 3”ish of wood exposed on the sides. Leave about 5-6” of space between the paintings (or matted photos) .

You could also put glass shelves. So they don’t have to match and are in the middle.

I’d go with installing some matching shelves – we can never have enough bookshelves at my house. Otherwise, maybe install some pegs and make it a cubby of sorts for hanging sweaters?
