"We didn't come to France to make healthy choices" – cracked me up… All the preface needed. FWIW, I visited a French bakery here in our DC, and had a ham and cheese filled croussant. Even that far-removed gem triggered a religious experience. Thank the heavens for French pastery chefs.

If you ever come back, try pralus, chocolate brioche from merveilleux de Fred, pain suisse from Maison Terasson, and Perroudon, those are my fav so far, but I am also still discovering the city !

Welcome to my new home, and my neighborhood, la Croix rousse! Romaine is a very good shop. I also love la boulangerie des canuts. I prefer their baguettes over romaine’s… a lot of people sleep on Lyon, and just do Paris- but i prefer Lyon. Way more laid back, but cool AF😊
