Merriman’s is a restaurant that uses local farm to table ingredients in a fine dining setting. Located in Kaka’ako, it has been here for a while, but I never did have a chance to stop by. I was invited to eat here so I tried out the food.

Food looked good, but when you mentioned the poor attitude of the waiter, that's what stuck with me. I hope you didnt let it totally spoil your meal. I would not have been happy. (And I'm being polite). BTW, I had to look up that dessert you had. I think it is called a Posset. It's a British dessert. Now I want to try and make it! Restaurants need to realize that their servers are part of the diners' experience just as much as the food. It can make or break the dining experience. Okay, I'm pau giving my 5 cents. If I told you my background, you would know why I'm irritated at what happened to you.

Is it safe to assume if you left a tip for the waiter, who gave ya the ole eye roll, it was all in pennies? lol. Or was it in monopoly money? lol. I'd be rolling my eyes if you took me there on a date, I'm more of a beer; listening to rock; turning wrenches kind of a guy on a date. And yep, my gal pal is just as 'bout as bad as me. hahahahaha.
Great food there. My favorite thing there though are the biscuits!

The poor attitude would put me off, too, and I’m sorry that spoiled the experience a bit (I’ve had that at a well-known steakhouse and have never gone back). I’ve been to Merriman’s for lunch and enjoyed it. I’m glad you had a good meal with Terrance and Ayden, nevertheless.
