Bonjour!
Summer is slowly coming to an end here and the grape harvest has started here in the vineyards around the Côtes de Beaune and the Hautes Côtes de Beaune. The summer has sure flown by again this year. I am excited for my book project that I’ll be working on this fall and winter!

Is the last name Rousseau common in Burgundy? If you Google it, it's supposed to mean people with reddish brown hair. I believe it means reddish brown water or red wine. If Rousseau originated in a place known for great wine, my guess is that Rousseaus were involved in the wine industry. My mother's maiden name is Champagne. I tell people that I have red and white wine blood!

what a lovely and soothing video, and don't blame yourself for flowers which never took off this summer, the world have been having summers that are just getting hotter and hotter so maybe it's time to consider some plants which can withstand the long hot summers or to transplant some to shadier spots on the grounds.

My cosmos weren't growing great this year as well compared to last year! My roses are doing better than last year as well! I think some summers are like that. I think my summer this year was hot and not so wet that may be a factor.
