Journey to the Château, Ep. 275 – In this episode, Patrick and Stuart continue the work in their chateau gite with a demolition project. Friends Mark and Sue stop by for a visit, and they volunteer to help them take down a wall in the living room/dining room area to open it up to the staircase. Patrick and Stuart make a trip to a local antiques show, and they also share more of the antics of Figaro, their chateau rescue cat. It’s a Figgy Friday!

  1. lol. That cat is rotten!! He has turned into a real beauty! Patrick, you have endless patience which is just as well because Figaro is not giving up.

  2. Hello my fav's!! Loving the different video arrangements. I am in awe about how much you have achieved over the last year!🤩Patrick, if and when you get the time (LOL chateau owners having time to spare bahahahaha…wishful thinking), love to see your take on French fruit tarts/pie recipes. More importantly, looking forward to seeing what you two get up to in Paris! Cheering you on!

  3. Well that was an eventful video! The demo crew had a lot of fun! And yes, that wall coming down made a huge difference. l’m forward to watching the gite progress.
The antique fair was worth visiting. Lots of fascinating objects.
And looks like Figaro is in his adolescence! Lots of acting out! 😂🤣🐈❤️❤️

  4. These drone shots take the chateau to a new level. We can get the feel for the scale of Colombe. Sweet👍🏻 Figgy knows you are really her Mama Lion, Patrick😂

  5. Figaro, Figaro, Figaro……. soooo talented, handsome Beautiful!!!!!!
    Absolutely Exstrudary !!!!!!!
    Figaro flying
and precision landing Amazing Figaro !!!!!!! Amazing ……
Cirque du Soleil will be knocking at the Chateau door wanting your dads
to agree to Figaro joining the French circus.
    Wonderful friends Martin & Sue
helped you both demolish the wall.
    beaut team work
    achieved completed task
The French antique fair, soo many lovely
    antics to view/ buy
    discover, inspire you

  6. Vivian just put out a video with Terry and Ashe at FabricWeek in Paris (or is it Decorator’s Week?). Did you miss out on some great sales? I wanted to knock on your door and say, “Get over there!”

  7. Good Progress in the GIT, it will be su much more welcoming. I loved that little game table and chairs. really nice in a small space. the candlelabra with the face is interesting but cold startle me in the night 😅

  8. Hilarious the montage at the end with the cat!! Patrick is so loving and patient even when he insistently says OW! To the cat!

  9. Great team work on tearing that wall down. What a difference and what a mess to clean up as well. Absolutely love seeing Figaro seeking attention. My cat Raven does the same when she feels I have has enough computer work 😹😹😹😹😹

  10. Oh I love demolition, I find it so satisfying 😅 how do you manage not to buy everything looking at all those beautiful things 😍 and figgy is so beautiful 😍 and cuddly ❤ love to you both…. Oh and mind your heads in those small doorways 😂

  11. Nice Vlog with a nice brocantes-I saw a nice Davenport(little portable desk, invented for captains to store their paperwork on ships) a question, do the dogs go well with the cat? A nice hello from Bavaria., blue sky and 12°

  12. I can relate to Figgys antics..I have 9, yes 9 cats all looking for attention at the same time or totally ignoring me. I would not trade my fluffy butts for anything they are family

  13. With all of the work going on it still looked like you all had fun. Your kitty cat sure loves you.
    Thanks for sharing!

  14. I very much like the drone lead in, as it provides a perspective of the property layout. The wall in the gite seemed too easy to dismantle. The antiques show had some nice looking items. Figaro is energetic and adorable. It is easy to see that he adores Patrick, who like me isn’t the best disciplinarian, but who provides love to their fur family. Take care my friends, Ralph Rocchiccioli

  15. Loved this vlog!!! Your new style of vlog is fantastic and looks so professional. Draws a person in a bit more. Really well done, gentlemen! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  16. The gite is shaping up. Couldn't help ducking every time you went thru the door. 😃 Much much better without the wall. 👍👍 As always, the brocants are fun to see and the house residents. Doggies 🐶 and kitten 😸. Figgy would rather play than have you work. 😍

  17. Hi sweeties. Demolition is great to get rid of negative energies. The wall went down easy. Instantly, you could see the room open up. Visiting a brocante is fun for you both. Patrick, your hair looks good and longer. I've read that biting is a sign of love from a cat. But still, their teeth are sharp😂
Is Figaro introduced to the furries yet?
Have a great weekend. Hugs and kisses also for the furries and Figaro. 🥰🥰😘🐕🐈

  18. Loved it when Stewart tapped on the wall and half of it fell down! Too funny. I'll be interested to see what you do with the ceiling! Also, it was good to see the Assistant Editor hard at work – you couldn't do it without Figgy!

  19. The new format has grown on me but I preferred the more classical music of the old format, it set you apart from everyone else

  20. What better way to tear down a wall than with friends and laughter?!
Little Figaro has grown into such a beautiful cat… I’m sure it’s hard to imagine life without them.❤

  21. You are surrounded by good friends and a lively kitty. I noticed Figgy can’t get under the computer screen like he use to do. 😻
