  1. and Mrs T i think if you put a screw down type of door stop on the floor to stop the door hitting the bookcase that would look better but the room is looking very nice now

  2. You can angle the bookshelf which would make it closer to bed , & fit outside of door trim.

  3. No problem. There are pencil to remove these problems with the furniture and chances are that will look perfectly fine, no perfect but loved.

  4. Room looks great Cara! Well done! A very Merry Christmas to you and Laurent! 🌲🌲☃☃

  5. You could try those crayons that are for furniture touchups, multiple colours to disguise the scratch in the meantime.

  6. Less is more. The wallpaper is very busy. No need for art work above the chair. Maybe a fresh looking cushion for the chair instead. Just a thought.

  7. Please be careful when moving furniture such as the bookshelves.

When you hold them by a top shelf you run the risk of the weight below your grip making the nails or screws or old glue separate from the sides and back.

I suggest that when you are moving such items you put them on a rug or sheet and then pull the front end of the sheet like a sledge and they piece of furniture moves across the floor quite easily.

It also reduces the risk of the legs or feet of the Furniture item scratching the wooden floors which would be a shame if you have applied a really nice finish to The floor.

I hope this is of help to you.

  9. I don't know if they sell it in France but you could try old English furniture polish for light woods as a temporary fix. You'll have to polish it weekly. You can also Google how to fix scratched furniture. Maybe someone has a YouTube vlog on how to fix it.😊 I like to read so I would want a comfy chair and maybe a floor lamp/table combo near the window so I could enjoy the view or read. I would try the picture of the lady reading near the chair. I can't really tell the size of the picture in relation to the chair.

  10. Please use the bookcase in a different room. It’s not a good fit for the wall and is too large for the room. Small nightstands on each side of the bed would do much better. You did great covering the wiring.

  11. You are getting so much done. What on earth will you do, when you get everything done? Merry Christmas Cara.
