Hello New York New Jersey and Florida and hi PA love it well let’s start with just kind of an overview of what are the adult own only dining rooms on board the ships okay so if you are on the older class the original class the classic ships magic wonder you will only have

Paulo on board um so that is Italian if you are on dream class which is dream fantasy you will have Paulo and Remy so you’ll have Italian and French if you are on the new class of ships they were calling it Triton class but now they’re calling it wish class um

You will have Pao steakhous which still does have Italian but they renamed it to Pao steakhous and on shant which is just the new name for Remy uh still French and yummy as ever so those are the adult only dining restaurants that they have so those are the two that are um not

Included in your cruise Fair all the other restaurants are very little upselling for Disney yes yeah so true U and let’s talk about what adult only actually means to Disney Cruise Line because that might be you know adult only am I sing with kids what at what point can they can my

15-year-old come with me to paollo no let’s talk about what that age restriction is okay so to adults adults on Disney Cruise Line is 18 or older so when you’re talking about quiet Cove or adult only dining or adult only areas on the ship we’re talking

About 18 or older not 17 16 15 not my child behaves well can I bring them um it is they’re strict 18 or older your key to the world card will tell them if you’re an adult or a minor it’s evident so you won’t even be able to make a reservation in an

Adult-only restaurant if they are not 18 or older yes I love that can’t get around it so yes it is the adult only space let’s talk a little bit about I know we’ll get the question a lot of times of okay I really want to go and

Try this dining room but like what am I supposed to do with my kids if I’m G to go to an adult only experience so what would you do um I know we’re going to talk about the different offerings but what would you do for dinner time versus

Brunch with kids well you have many options and it really depends on the age of your kids and who you’re traveling with with I mean obviously your best option is put them in the kids club and go enjoy your dinner those kids clubs are there for that reason so that you

Can have adult time um when it comes to feeding the kids on the night you’re going to Paulo usually you could choose your dining time at Pao you can make your reservation or at Remy or on Shante any of them you can choose your dining time

So I’ve seen many parents go to the main dining room with their kids or sometimes if you have an older child that you know 13 14 15 they send them to the dining room by themselves I sat next to two kids in the dining room on the last

Night of this last cruise I was on just a few weeks ago and our server took such good care one child had to be like maybe 13 years old and the other was in her bibbity Bobby Boutique outfit dressed as a princess and the older brother took

Such good care of her and our server took great care of her and it was obvious the parent went to dinner um on their own but there’s also 24-hour room service so when you’re getting ready for dinner you can order room service for the kids and then take them to the kids

Club so you have all of those options but obviously the kids club is the best place to put your kids when you go for a night out it’s free babysitting and they’re having a blast say the kids love it they probably want you to go and leave them at the

Kids club anyways but don’t feel guilty about using the kids club or just letting your kids kind of do their own thing for dinner you know you can also have them eat on Deck Pizza Burgers chicken tenders um very ship to ship but there’s you know you worked so hard for

This vacation you deserve to have a little bit of a date night go have a night out the kids are gonna be great in the kids club I promise and they’ll be okay with a night of room service while you’re getting ready order the chicky nuggies go to the pool deck bring back

The pizza and then take them to the kids club have a great time I was going to say our parents always they went and did their they went and did their date night and we went to the dining room on our own you know they told the servers the

Night before the girls are just going to be there and it was great we felt like such adults ordering on our own from the kids menus um but you’ve mentioned getting ready so can we talk a little bit about dress code because it varies a little bit from the main dining room

Right can we please talk about dress code yes say I know there was a big announcement and I shuddered my heart broke a little bit okay so it used to be you had to dress to go to the adult dining restaurants as you should you’re adults dress you’re going to a fancy

Restaurant it’s not the main dining room um then for Paulo brunch not Remy Remy you’re still expected to dress and they will not let you in if you’re not dressed but apoll brunch they started to soften up a little bit and say that you didn’t it used to be slacks in a

Dress you couldn’t wear jeans you couldn’t wear sandals and then they started to to loosen up on that although I found that odd for brunch only and still dinner you have to dress they have not reduced that dress code then recently and I was part

Of it I was there a couple weeks ago for that first sailing where they said you could wear shorts into APO and I kind of I was like why why um and I passed people sitting there in shorts um so yes the dress code for Paulo now is you

Could wear shorts into the dining room to eat there but dinner they still expect you to dress nicely I think you can wear jeans in for dinner but no shorts yet I’m sure that’s going to come yeah for Remy you do have to wear a jacket men have to wear jackets women

You have to be in slacks and a blouse no sandals no sneakers that dress code still stands look it is a fancy restaurant it is topnotch it’s a Michelin dining room there um you’re going out for a nice dinner dress the part please um they will they do have a

Jacket for you if you show up without one um think of it as a night out on the town I was gonna say and I I love the opportunity to get dressed up we don’t get you know we go to work every day but as far as actually really really

Dressing up for a great night out that’s something that’s rare in our household so I would say take the opportunity get all doled up maybe go to the salon and the spa and get your hair done or do in your state room and just have a treat yourself date night because they’re so

With everything going on it’s rare so take the opportunity get so rare you’re you’re parents now you don’t get to dress up and go out anymore so like I loveed the opportunity to I was the mom in sweats carrying them around into the grocery store like the opportunity to do

My hair and go to a restaurant and feel good and pretty it just was like ah even if it was brunch a sundress wasn’t a hard thing a my husband would wear dress pants and a polo not hard but we felt good about ourselves we took off the

Parent clothes for two hours of the day and boom we were back in bathing suits not a big deal but Remy is a whole different Beast um be prepared Remy I felt so so fancy Remy so I guess let’s go ahead and break down we were talking about um the adult

Only dining room so let’s break down the Paulo experience what to expect from both brunch and dinner and then we’ll move on to Remy and Asante okay I already saw the person who misses the buffet I really think a lot of us do miss the buffet but it was a

Lot of waste and I kind of understand why they did what they did it’s not like they could take all that food uneaten and use it again it was being fed to the fish it remember um back in the day on all the dessert menus they used to have a taster

Where you could get bite siiz desserts of all the different desserts and it was so great but they were making the minis and the full size and it was just so much waste and you know Disney cares so much about the environment and all that so I’m there with you I missed the

Buffet but I don’t I do miss the buffet I really do miss the buffet but I totally understand why they got rid of the buffet so let’s talk about the buffet so Paulo it is $50 a person whether it’s brunch or dinner okay we’ll get to the

Dinner menu because it’s a little more complicated now but for pao brunch it’s $50 an adult that’s it plus tip we hope you tip your server and for that $50 you can order whatever you want as much as you want so instead of the buffet they’ve now

Replaced it with everything you used to get on the buffet but you have to ask for more so you can’t be like I’m G to take 20 rolls and then leave half of them on the table so they’ll bring you the roll basket with a sampling of what

Used to be on the buffet they’ll bring you the fish platter they’ll bring you the beefs and the cheeses and you can order as much as you want then they have the pizzas you could get a what is it the calzone then they have breakfast items they have lunch items

Anything from eggs and Waffles to eggs benedict to chicken parmesan like you name it it is on this menu and you can have as much as you want and then they bring you dessert and you could take all the time in the world the server will ask you if

You’re in a rush or if you have time they’re not going to kick you out you could take two hours 3 hours or 1 hour they will go at your pace so if you made an appointment for a spot treatment and you tell them they will have you out but

If you want to take your time and enjoy the experience they will go at your pace yes 50 bucks if you are Pearl or platinum this is free for anybody in your state room you and do you still get the complimentary glass of bubbles is that so you get a complimentary glass of

Bubbles they will ask if you would like just a plain glass of prco or you would like a mimosa yes that comes the non-alcoholic option is there too right they’ll bring you cloud and blue and if any of you have sailed on Disney Cruise Line and know anything about cloud and blue it’s

That beautiful apple cider that has like that pearly looking thing going through it it’s really good and that’s your non-alcoholic and that comes with your meal so first glasses on them you can have as much as you want and that is above of course the $50 and what is your favorite thing to

Eat on the brunch menu Apollo okay I know I know it’s a tough question the secret grape and gorgona pizza which is no longer on the menu but if you’re an oldtime Cruiser you can always say can I have the secret great pizza and they will make it for you so

That’s always a musthave so I always get that I always have as many crab claws as I can have they just bring me a plate of it um I love that I’m like I don’t need anything but a plate of crabs so my server always knows I always ask for the same server

Um then I have the eggs Julian with the spinach and my egg is well well well well well done because I don’t like goopy eggs and then I have to have if I have have room I usually can get in like one or two bites of the chicken parm which is the

Best thing ever for me it’s so good but I’m allergic to eggplant but I hear that the eggplant rollatini is topnotch so good there’s so many things you can’t go wrong everything on the menu is delicious my go-to what I dream of it rotates between my mouth is watering now since you

Said I’m so hungry I know oh but the chicken parm and the lasagna the lasagna I swear is what heaven would serve for dinner it is so good just when you go order some for me order it both just order everything they will put it on the

Table for you the problem is by the time you’ve eaten everything up until that point you just have no more room you’re to like here and for dessert I like the um panakot because it goes down easy there’s nothing to chew with the fs in the gaps yeah like kind you can swallow

It there’s space and it has the popping balls um strawberry flavored and I put them in my cheeks and I because it’s fun anyway I love it no brunch is amazing it’s so so good know that you will be very full and probably need to take a

Food nap after um but it’s I can’t recommend it enough if you can go it isn’t that extra cost but it’s definitely worth it and I think that same thing about dinner but let’s talk about dinner ATO dinner dinner at Paulo it’s a little different because you have

Two different menus to choose from there is the $50 menu the old Pao menu what’s $50 and that is a price fix so you have to choose um they’ll give you two appetizers two Entre and two desserts to choose from for $50 and if you like those things by all means order from

That menu it’s $50 however they also have the full menu and this is even on the wish where it’s a steakhouse and on top of the Italian dishes which anything you can think of is on there they also have steaks because it is a steak house and any kind

Of steak you can think of including wagu and I’m not a steak eater but I’ve tried it and it’s pretty darn good although you won’t eat your steak like I eat my steak you’ll eat it like a steak year mine is killed that sounds so good oh no

I have family that’s the same way they’re like I don’t want it mooing anymore yeah like I get I I don’t order steak so if you are a steak eater poo steakhous on the wish is the place to go because I know they have this fancy wagu

Stuff and I’ve tasted did a well done piece of it and it’s good but I don’t enjoy it I stick with the Italian but the other part of the menu is ala cart and sometimes you can actually save money going all cart because now you can

Kind of pick and choose what you want and at dinner it’s not they’re going to bring you everything on the menu like they do at brunch this is you pick what you want they bring it to you um and you can’t order everything on the menu

Unless you want to pay for it so perfect date night perfect date night yeah and you could share like your husband can say I’m going to try this because the portions are ginormous so this is the olart is kind of the way to go you can share an appetizer um you can

Say okay you get this main dish I’ll get this main dish and share it and it will come in under $50 they also have the wine pairing options which cost a little more but if you’re wine drinkers it’s a great way to go um doing the wine pairing so it’s amazing

Um the food is topnotch and dessert you have to have the sule they have two types I’m a fan of the chocolate suila and you have to order it while you’re eating because they cook it for you it takes 45 minutes so it comes out to you

Piping hot so you can either do the Almond kind if you’re not a chocolate fan or you could do the chocolate sule which is what they’re famous for so it’s so good I could cry just talking in your mouth it’s like piping hot and they pour

The sauce and the gelato goes in oh my God it’s so good have to go for the sule so you have to leave room for the dessert and have the sule and they bring you surprises at the end to say Thank you so oh so true and you know I know right

Paulo dinner to be unlimited you could eat as much as you wanted and that has changed again to cut down on waste but I I think Paulo dinner is still absolutely worth the $50 per person with the I mean the calamari on the prefix menu the steak the sule oh my

Gosh it I do have to add that if you are platinum or Pearl and you choose APO dinner instead of brunch as your freebie even if you don’t choose the price fixed they will take that $50 each and apply it to what you’re purchasing off the

Alla cart so it’s not that you lose that free meal at Paulo dinner they will take the $50 and apply it to your allart bill I learned something new today that’s awesome you’re still winning it’s not like you’re being forced just because it’s free to eat from the price fix

So the asparagus the mac and cheese all those sides that they can bring on the allart menu so good I say go alak cart all the time now yeah especially if you’re Pearl or platinum with that free meal oh my gosh yeah I might have to do that got

You if you’re a party of two you’ve got that $50 you’re you got $50 free off that all of cart menu eat it yes it’s only taking you 10 Disney cruises to get there so you’re you might as well just go for it and I love I love this

Question from Jennifer about uh food intolerances how are the adult only restaurants with um dietary restrictions and allergies the chef will come to your table wow the chef will arrive at your it’s the best way to meet the chef he will come to you and go over especially

If it’s a severe allergy like I’m allergic to eggplant I don’t need to talk to the chef I know exactly what I can and can’t eat but my mother has a severe shellfish allergy so we were concerned about um cross contamination especially during brunch because you have all that crab

And seafood happening so the chef did come out and we made sure that everything she was eating wasn’t cross-contaminated so they are very good with that so you shouldn’t fear your food allergy in the adult only restaurants they are super careful as is the one thing Disney tries

To be super duper careful with food allergies any allergies that’s something that as a travel agent you can help arrange all that the food allergy notices dietary restrictions ahead of time for all of your guests right awesome okay honestly I can tell you I have a client who is allergic to a

Specific type of flower and I had to contact the ship and make sure there is not that flower on that sailing that’s how serious they take any allergy so yeah jennif do their best I would definitely reach out to Laura and I’m gonna put her link up on screen

Again so that you can write that down I’ll put it in the comments as well um but definitely reach out to Laura to get all just talk through what you’re interested in because uh we want to make sure that you are safe as can be on

Board and um well I’m putting this link in the comments Laura let’s talk a little bit about Remy okay let’s talk about Remy so Remy is Michelin rated Michelin chefs and it is obviously more expensive it is not given as a freeb to a pearl or platinum

Guest um neither is an Shante and remember an Shante is pretty much identical to Remy it’s just a new name um so the cost L of Remy let’s go with brunch first and they also have a dessert um experience which I have done and it is

Decadent so and let me start by telling you I am not a Remy person I am not a French food person so I have experienced it because I needed to experience it but I knew going in that I don’t really love French food so it was delicious the

Experience was incredible I don’t think I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant so fancy thing and particular yes I swear I went to go to the bathroom when I got up my napkin was already folded on my chair they escorted me to the bathroom yes yes I mean the F the

Fanciest of fancy restaurants it’s amazing so it is pretty amazing so let’s talk about that brunch the brunch is $80 a person I can’t begin to tell you how much food it is it it it’s not the same as Pao in that you can Glutton it’s not

Gluttony it’s very French in that it’s portion controlled but it’s a lot and it’s Rich it’s butter it’s French food so go in there with an appetite but know that you’re going to come out of there ready for a nap um and there they do do like you

Have the option for a champagne up add on you have there they will be happy to increase that per person rate by adding on wine options and champagne options and but I have to say it would be worth every dime for you if you love that

French food menus you can always I get this question all the time where can I find these menus they are available just Google them but when you board the ship if you’re unsure about the food and whether you’re going to like it because these menus are in French

So I don’t even know what it is so I tend to when I board I pull up the menu and then I have to Google it to be honest with you and I was gonna say I do know the Remy um D I’m sorry words are hard the Remy menus do change

Seasonally so just kind keep that in mind when you are looking it’s a great way to get an idea but like Laura is saying you as soon as you board the ship and you’re connected to the ship’s Wi-Fi your navig Ator app is going to look totally different and you’re going to

Have access to the menus from around the ship so that’s a really good way to check in um and just get an idea of what you might be eating there um and that’s why it’s really hard for me to tell you what the menu is because it is going to

Change and yes you do have a f you have two menus um French and American so it’s like menu a menu B but they’re still both French Foods it’s just the American French and then the French French yes and the chef does come out and speak

To you and ask you which menu you like best and when you have no real idea of what you’re eating somebody like me goes I liked the chicken yeah you know what you like honestly that’s okay way fancy for me um that is okay and you know I think

That’s something you know Remy and Paulo they are additional experiences they’re not for every and that’s all right I think it’s a great thing to try I know we got this question a bunch of you know is it worth it you know should I do it as a

First-time Cruiser and I think that’s a great thing to talk through with Laura about if it is going to be worth it for you and your family um or the adults in your family rather and we’ll get to that question later but don’t don’t feel like

You have to go but you don’t have to do anything it’s really how you want your vacation and honest to God if you love French food then you absolutely want to go to Remy if you know you want a fancy date night then that is your place they

Give you a rose that I mean you get chocolate it is your most romantic place to go 100% you aren’t going to go wrong it’s not a wrong decision it never is I am not sad I tried it I just knew going in I do not love French food

And is it that same way for dinner um dinner yeah it’s it’s even more fancy so dinner is now $135 a person and if you add that tasting aspect it could be as high as 165 a person and you are choosing menu a menu B and it’s like a six course

Meal it’s a 3-hour meal it is you know you’re served by people in tuxedos proper and they’re they’re doing everything you’ve seen in any movie um it’s delicious it it really is delicious if you’re a French food fanatic um but the service is and you think you’re getting

Good service in the main dining room this is a step up by 10 I was gonna say it is just spectacular we did Remy for the very first first time in October and I was blown away at the level of service that you get in there and you know I I

Love my good chain restaurants you know I love my local restaurants too but we don’t typically eat anything all that fancy and this was fine dining to a te I mean the meals you know we did one French and one American so we could both try them and everything was amazing

There was this one dish my mouth is still watering there was this one dish and it was all beets and different types of beets and prepared in different ways and I am not a beets person not a fan never have been you can ask my mother

This was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted in my entire life and I wish I could have it every day forever and ever it was so good and I just like the desserts the chi you’re right the chicken was even a I mean you you can’t

Go wrong it’s so good you can’t like I just found it all too buttery for me it was very Rich yeah yeah very I’m more of like that Italian homie type stuff I just felt like everything everything I ate was so rich not that it wasn’t good

My stomach just doesn’t love all butter like like oh yes butter is definitely one of my main food groups so I but I think for us you know Remy for a lot of people isn’t every time they’re on the dream of the fantasy they have to get a

Reservation at Remy I think for us it’s going to be like a special occasion we were celebrating something so that’s why we tried it espe anniversary for me I would do just because of the experience um but for me Apollo is in every time yeah for

Meo Remy is there an alart menu or is it just the the just AB perfect ab and lots of cheese I was not expecting all the cheese and it was yes maybe now the dessert experience yes I was going to ask something I could do every time it is

Decadent so it is $65 a person with the optional add the wine to it the wine pairing to the six desserts that you get for an extra $28 it that was worth it because it’s like getting a wine tasting so there’s a different wine for each of the six desserts for 28 extra

Dollars and do they have like a somaler they’re pouring wine for you oh my gosh of course they do of course they it’s Remy um those desserts out of this world go back on the fantasy so are the dream so I can do this I I’ve never you have to do you

Have to do this dessert like to me that’s a Musto wow okay it’s so good okay if you have a sweet tooth this is our homework we have to book right if you love desserts then you definitely want to go to this dessert experience because it’s so good just so good oh my

Gosh I’m so excited yum and you won’t be hungry the rest of the day by the way because it’s so much dessert um and if you do the wine pairing with it you’ll never have a dessert without a glass of wine again and you won’t need a drink the rest of

The day that’s amazing they don’t just give you little wine they give you glasses because you’re not just getting little desserts you’re getting full dessert full desserts oh my gosh okay well I know what I’m doing on my next Cruise because that sounds amazing and I have such a

Sweet tooth everybody in my family does so that’s now a must do and it put it this way creem brulee is on there it’s like one of the first things they bring out you know you say you won’t eat the rest of the day but somehow we always

Find room at some point during the day to eat something else there’s but in that moment that is true you’re just so full oh man I’m so excited I’m so excited anyway do the dessert experience okay okay everybody do the dessert and um what about actually booking all of this so so you

Know you’ve decided after I’ve decided after this that I definitely want to book the Remy dessert experience I’ve decided I wanted to book po brunch how do you actually book when can I book okay this is where everybody panics especially my new Cruisers people who have never sailed before they’re not

Pearl they’re not Platinum sometimes it doesn’t even reach gold or silver openings uh booking windows and then everybody panics I couldn’t get poo brunch I couldn’t get dinner they’ll never see a chance to book online for dessert and they Panic you’ll get in all you have to do if you can’t get it

Online once you board the ship no matter what ship it is find the dining team it’s usually in the main restaurant or if you’re on the wish it’s going to be in Luna but if you’re on any of the other ships it’s going to be in the main restaurant in the

Midship right there you’ll find the dining team from Paulo and Remy sitting there along with a team from the main dining room because people are switching from late seaing to early seating or whatever but your Pao Remy team is there and guess what they’re doing they’re booking people into Paulo brunch and poo

Dinner and Remy brunch and Remy dinner because they always hold reservations back there’s always room and if there’s no room they put you on a wait list and then they call you because magic happens people cancel or a party gets smaller and then they

Can put you in so never give up so just don’t panic don’t get upset don’t post on the Facebook group your anger because Pearl people took it all sorry I’m Pearl I didn’t take it all I just took one um there could be a wedding on board

That took it by the way not just Pearl no that’s such a point get angry don’t don’t post that you didn’t get it oh my God my life is over it’s still gonna be a great Cruise just wait till you bored same for character meet and greets the Royal Gathering when you get

To Port and you’re waiting to board here’s a little secret you can connect to the ship Wi-Fi when you’re standing in Port you can get Royal Gathering standing right there I promise you so don’t panic your cruise is not ruined if you can’t see something online um when your booking window opens

So true and it always breaks my heart when people just freak out because everything is sold out everything so that I’m like first of all you will not go hungry on a Disney cruise ship we’re talking about these amazing experiences on board but I cruised I don’t even know

15 20 times before I ever went to an adult only restaurant you know I’ve been cruising with Disney since 99 and I just went to Remy for the very first time so you are still going to have an amazing cruise on board if you don’t get it and

Like Laura was saying you would be shocked at how often people just cancel people have to cancel vacations for whatever reason they have to cancel excursions you know an entire they get on the ship and they change their mind like there and there’s no cancellation fee for cancelling so they just call and

They change their mind oh we decided we don’t want to go I did it I did it on the fantasy a couple weeks ago I was going to take my mother and sister to Remy and we were having such a good time we were like e

Rotation especially if we’re with the kids if it’s adult only I’d say one night maybe for dinner but if you’re with the kids you want to make that rotation in the dining rooms with them on a seven night cruise yeah I a firsttime cruiser I could see putting them in a adult only

Space for a night so it really depends on the family um would I be sad if they missed it no because I’m pretty confident they’re going to go back yes I was gonna say dis these retention right on these Laura and I are proof we just keep coming back

Because they’re so wonderful um and then the second question for you is just you know a lot of times we’ll get the question of I’m trying to book Remy for this very partic I’m trying to book it when you know we’re not in this dining

Room or when we are in this dining room so that we miss this one or don’t miss that one and I know for us if Remy is your priority don’t worry about the dining room you’re missing it’s going to be there next time it’s going to be

There um you know maybe you can go have lunch there breakfast there whatever it is but how do you kind of talk through that with clients so that they’re not stressed about their main dining room rotation if if that’s really their priority that they don’t want to miss a

Dining room then I always tell them wait till you Bor and then go up to Remy and make that reservation um point if that’s really their priority because you’re not going to know your rotation I always see this in the I’m going to call and find

Out what my rotation is well that’s fine but it nobody there’s no guarantee that’s really going to be your rotation I’ll tell you that the dining staff doesn’t get your reservation till three days before you board and the people at Shor side who you’re calling for that

Information don’t know so and that that could change what they tell you before you sell and what happens when the ship gets your information the dining crew might be trying to settle a request for a dining team and that might throw what you were told like there is no

Guarantee that that’s your rotation so you won’t know your rotation till you bored so if that restaurant is important to you and you know I would wait and I can guarantee you’ll get into Remy the night you wanted to get into Remy just wait to make the reservation you just have to stress

So we have been sailing for you know like I said since 99 we have never requested a server and we’ have never requested a dining rotation and that’s okay because there’s no bad servers there’s no bad dining rotations if you have your favorites like I know Laura
