Gary Faust grew up in a law enforcement family. He spent 27 years in law enforcement between Garden Grove and Huntington Beach PDs, and retired as a lieutenant in 2014. A couple years before his retirement he happened to attend a wine event where he actually learned about wine. Living near Hi Times Wine Cellar, a family owned and internationally known wine store, he met resistance in being offered a job – so he offered to volunteer his time. Today he is not only an employee but he’s now the store’s French wine buyer – regularly traveling to France. Gary has an interesting story of finding a new passion and following it into a new career.
