Maybe just a bit too young?
I love Ornellaia and have had Le Volte before, never thought too much of it, although did have a good glass a couple months ago.
Pretty one-dimensional, decent acidity, red fruits, but not much else.
I personally find the mid-palate to be pretty weak and the body is almost a bit watery?
Still decent and easy to drink.
I know this is the third wine of Ornellaia, but then I think about Le Difese being the third wine of Sassicaia and I find that much, much better.
