Today I set Max the ultimate culinary challenge: becoming a waiter in PARIS! The day started with an us trying the unbelievable French food at Les Parisiens and then getting a masterclass in waitering by our guru for the day, Garry (or should I say Gariiii 🇫🇷). Finally, the ultimate challenge: could Max and I serve a table each without getting noticed as imposters?! (Spoiler: we were much better than expected!)

Goes without saying, a huge thank you to everyone at Restaurant Les Parisiens by Chef Thibault Sombardier – it was an absolute privilege to film there and get a taste of the behind the scenes of Parisian gastronomy.

  1. Yesss, my guess is right! They DO become waiters in Paris! (Also at 0:33, when Max calls Armand his “Mec” My brain automatically thinks of THAT time when Max mistakenly calls Armand His “Meuf” instead of “Mec” in “Trying the Weirdest French Foods in Paris” 😂)

  10. As someone whose first job (at 15) was at a "fine Victorian dining" restaurant, and who–off an on–worked multiple jobs in F&B over 35 years… I was cringing throughout the entire video.

    Armand: Iron your shirt and tuck it in properly.
    Max: Tuck in your shirt, iron your vest, and pull the bit in the back so it fits properly.
    Both: Check your collars; they were askew.

    A waiter needs to be confident–it makes the customer feel comfortable with the restaurant. Don't say "Oh, I'm going to pour this wrong". Just pour it–and if it doesn't go right, give a short apology.

    Garry should have taught you better.

  11. I so want Armand and Max to come to the US to try some of the food in Texas, New Orleans and across the Southeast that Josh and Olly have done. When they get to the bananas Foster at Brennan's in New Orleans, Max will never eat another dessert EVER again.

  12. Fun video but my pet peeve is calling people “guys”…. How about just saying “Have YOU decided?” or “How are YOU today?”

  13. I'm sorry to say this but… Max looks way to good in that suit lol ESPECIALLY with the glasses. But like also, love that his confidence is up
