Hi! I’m Molly Burke — a fashion-loving, sushi-obsessed, makeup-wearing millennial who just so happens to be blind. Diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa at 4 years old, I began public speaking at age 5 and haven’t stopped since. From motivational talks to modeling, I’m passionate about creating a more inclusive world for people with disabilities. Even though I can’t see, I believe there’s always a bright side — and I’m here to help you find it. 💕

  1. Soo excited for you both! Enjoy this part of life as long as possible. I don't have any ideas other than you should
Make sure the florals are dog safe

  2. As someone who’s always lived below the poverty line, my wedding was the cheapest it could possibly be. 100 dollar dress. Make up gifted. A whole bunch of different people gifted the decor from old weddings or bought something same day to make the venue feel more special for me. 🥹 100 dollar venue. Open invite ceremony and cake reception right after. Cake was gifted as well. Free 5 gallon keg of beer from a friend who worked at a brewery. Backyard reception with vegan options for our vegan guests baked by my sister, which I ate myself. Twinkle lights. Candles. Burlap. Last minute FREE gifted DJ who played the most ratchet music for a very polite group of people – with kids at the reception, too. 😂😅 and even our honeymoon was gifted to us. In all, renting tables and chairs and catering food was the most expensive part of our wedding. Came to a total of $3000, including our rings.

  3. On the topic of wedding planners, they can be extremely helpful for making things go smoothly on the wedding / party day. At least look into a day-of wedding coordinator.

  4. Hi Molly! My fiancé and I are getting married in 2 months and are actually doing something similar to what you guys are thinking. We’ll be eloping in Rocky Mountain National Park (sooo pretty, I’m super excited for the photos!) with just our closest friends and family. And then the next day we’re doing a casual party with all our other friends and extended families to celebrate our marriage!

My fiancé and I are both super lowkey people and definitely did not want the stress of a big wedding. And with state of the wedding industry right now, I just think it makes so much more sense financially to elope. We’re also splurging on our honeymoon with all the money we saved from not doing an expensive traditional wedding.

Wish you guys the best with your planning ❤️

  5. Hi from Melbourne Australia 😊 If Thailand is on your honeymoon itinerary, I hope you fly down here too and spend some time in our gorgeous country. I know you were here a while ago, but it's a big country and there's so much to do 😊

Also, blind journalist Nas Campanella is national disability affairs reporter with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). She got married in about 2018 (I think). She chose suppliers who were sensitive to her needs & wishes as a blind bride, and took advice from trusted people about her dress style, fabric & colour. She looked fabulous! There might still be some articles about her wedding online, or something on her Instagram page, if you want some inspo.

  6. You should react to “Say yes to the dress” episode with a blind bride (I believe her name was Shayla)

  7. I know there are probably some amazing bridal shops near you, but, if you were near Georgia and happened to pop into Bridals By Lori, I think you'd be happy😊.

  8. my biggest question that i don't remember it being answered so i'll ask here. is about dress shopping. are you going to do the traditional no groom see until the day of?

  9. Why do I see vows being made to Elton as well. Kinda like when a new spouse says a special vow to their spouse’s children from a previous relationship.

  10. As a AuDHD single mom who found out after I had my daughter (she will be three in august, was diagnosed in December) so as someone who is in the neurodivergent toddler trenches real time i too am not interested in having another toddler 😂😅. I absolutely love her to bits She’s a gem AND will remain my one and only gem. 😅 motherhood has and is absolutely frying every last one of my disabled neurons 🫠😂.

  11. As you were talking I was picturing Brooklyn McKnights wedding from the channel Brooklyn and Bailey. It might fun to watch for some inspiration. It was somewhere in California I believe and it was outdoors in nature. Her brother in law officiated the wedding.

  12. We had a micro wedding with family and it was amazing!
I would say if it's too much planning don't feel pressured to have the party the same week. It's 2026 you can do whatever. People have them even a year or 6 months apart.

Each has pros – yes the same week you're on a high, but it would also be less stressful and more excitement if the 2 events are farther apart.
I personally love the micro wedding + honeymoon and party much later timeline.

  13. I think that you should have the engagement and wedding you want, I am just interested in the ideas you both have for the event. You do what makes you both happy. ❤

  14. I just like watching people try on wedding dresses.

Would be cool to see it from the fashion angle that you come from.

I don't much care about seeing you find "the" dress, just a discussion about different types of dress and how they suit or don't suit you.

  15. The first time I got married I had a huge wedding. My second wedding was extremely small, but my first husband was a trashy person. My second husband is amazing.

  16. Have you thought about asking Yana, she on TikTok, and YouTube to make you a purse. She might do it, she made one for herself.

  17. When I heard you say 2 piece for the dress I thought it sounded very you, I can even imagine with pants instead of a skirt could be a powerful girl boss moment

  18. I also want to recommend Ashcroft Jewellery from England for wedding bands. They're a small business, lovely guys and they do bespoke jewellery

  19. My favorite fragrant flowers are stargazer lilies and fresias, but they do divide opinions — you’ll need to smell for yourself. 🙂

  20. Love hearing your thoughts, feelings, plans around weddings. Flowers were a unique part of my wedding. For the attendants: they had a loop around the wrist and a larger hoop was attached to that. The flowers and ribbon were threaded through the larger hoop. Easy, beautiful, and lightweight! The pictures and memories are really special—At least for me they were. Love how inclusive you two are! Thanks for including us and sharing!!! ❤❤❤

  21. Molly, flower idea – maybe your mums could incorporate some garden plants like mint, melissa, basil and so on. They smell amazing and could add a unique sensory element to the event.

Every time I use them in cooking I think of how amazing they could be for a blind bride to use at a wedding as a unique and untraditional touch to incorporate.

  22. A pine forest with the soft carpet of pine needles, wonderful aroma and wind russling though the trees in my mind is the perfect wedding location.

  23. The way I have no idea what you’re talking about with the high neck stuff xD I have no idea about fashion and I think my knowledge ends at high waist 🤣🙈 oh and I wonder if that is what blind people feel like in that moment. Cause I was like: please show a picture I don’t know what you’re talking about but if you’re blind … 🧐

  24. Congratulations on the engagement Molly! Long time lurker here posting for the first time. Absolutely love and deeply respect the space you hold with your channel, the light you shine on your community and the eye opening advocacy work that you do is so incredibly valuable and sorely needed! Also, Eltie ❤❤❤
Your comment about loving pearl jewellery and you having connections to Ireland made me think of an amazing Irish jewellery designer – saltwaterdesign, who does gorgeous pearl wedding jewellery that are super textural (which I know is so important to you!). I swear this isn't a plug and I'm not the designer, they are just genuinely beautiful things that I think might interest you in your quest to put together your own gorgeous and unique wedding look! Also, I believe another fashion girlie, Zendaya has some of these pearls so you would be in very good fashion company if these were of interest to you for the big day!

  25. You would look so gorgeous in the first dress you explained with the high neck and backless. Edit: also you should carry a horse shoe in your flowers as it is an English old tradition for good luck.

  26. You look so cute and fresh talking to your fiance with that outfit to enhance the overall cuteness of the conversation!! 👌👏👏🙌🙌✌👍💞🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍++
