We didn't like cilantro when it became popular in restaurant salsa but we love salsa so we kept eating it. Now we like it. Same with olive oil and herbs and seasonings for dipping bread. We were at Macaroni Grill and just kept trying to get the toasted garlic and spices out but we learned to like olive oil.

Pinkberry still exist in Santa Row in San Jose, and a few other places.
I grew up in the 60's & when I say going out was a treat I'm dead serious. And yes, my mom cooked 7 days a week & packed our lunch everyday for school. I think today it's not as special for kids bcuz they eat out more than eat at home. Also, my mom worked my whole life. Not quite sure why it's so hard today to make a home-cooked meal.🤔

Hearing we have McDonald's at home was a real thing back in the day. We would be so happy to stop at the golden arches. For special dinners going out we would go to Ponderosa or Chinatown Inn

This episode was hilarious! I was watching while getting my nails done and was spontaneously cracking up. I had earbuds on so people just thought I was weird.
We never ate out . My mother raised 6 kids cooked every night except Saturday . If you didn’t like what she made you could “ starve “ 😂
