The fact that no one else jumped in as child had a f*cking panic attack is appalling as well. Makes me sick that people would rather watch a show then try to help.
They should get a life time gift card as an apology for what that guard put them through. An apology is Not enough in this case. Talk is cheap. The store should be held responsible and pay for all future purchases this family makes. How Dare he behave like that!!!!
Bro, this is why places have cameras he really called the police on a seven-year-old don’t stores have that little place for you to go if you’re accused of shoplifting
If I was the mother I would demand the name of the security guard and then sue him for emotional distress for what he did to that little girl. That girl is going to never want to leave her house again after that.
Even tough she did put it in her backpack, its a f*cking child like what would you espect a child to do? Thats something a child could do with a stuffed animal
Fucking 15 people… just fucking stood there… as soon as i heard he cornered them i was already imagineing myself fucking mauling him on the floor while he sops like the fucking pick me he is…
Just so everyone is aware the rules are different from store to store and state to state. A woman was charged with theft for concealing cookies under her arm while helping her baby up who was learning to walk. I learned this in a class for shoplifting because if you're with someone who shoplifts you get charged too… even if they put the stuff in their bag in a different part of the store. They walk out with you then you're together and you get a charge too.
The manager handled this one really well! This security guard scared a little girl for shopping. It's only shoplifting if they go out of the store without paying for the item.
As someone who also has severe anxiety and many other things I would react the same way as a kid and would not want to go out ever again not like i like to anyways but yeah
I understand what its like to have anxiety, i would have asked the mom if there was any way i could help that has helped me and i probably would have given her a sticker, i carry them with me everywhere
Look, I’ve had old ladies even use their purse as a shopping basket. It’s not as abnormal as people think it is. It’s something common that I’ve seen while working in retail. They just put the stuff in their purse and then they come up to the counter, set their purse on the counter and pull the stuff out.
Actually recently was accused of the same thing, I gave my little brother an item to hold then I got it back off him and put it under my arm (it was small and you couldn’t see it under my arm. I was mid check out when they accused me of attempting to steal. It was literally the first item the cashier scanned 😑 never went back and they closed shortly after 🤗
Target doesn't confront shoplifters until they've accured enough monitary theft to warrent prosecuting. Unless this family has stolen multiple times in the past, target security would never corner them like that
Uhhh it asks about parents getting humiliated and then tells a story about a secerty gaurd gearing humiliated and a family? Good story but deviates from actual question
I've seen kids steal while working at retail for 5+ years. The moment I see a child opening a merchandise or trying to put it in a bag, they either run or try to toss it aside.
Instead of just confronting the child, we notify AP (Asset Protection), because we have a protocol we have to follow involving shoplifting.
Most of the time, AP stops them once they pass the sensors and escorts them to the office. Police either makes them pay for stolen merchandise (depending on cost) or face charges.

If you don't leave the store its not theft this is so fake😂
God bless that manager, and as for that A-hole of a guard…may God have mercy when his time comes.

He would be lucky if he had survived that day, had this happened to my daughter.
Ive never genuinely cried at a short in my entire damned life. This is the first one that genuinely made me gasp for air while crying. Wow.
Legally it is not shoplifting until they leave the store.
You could of just walked out without paying for it here in the U.K. they are not allowed to stop you.
The security guard- I don't need evidence ❌️
The security guard -I don't have any brain cells and I want to get fired ✅️
So he called the police he's going to get arrested for filing a false report

why did the “can we still get the dinosaur stuffy?” break me? i hope this “guard” was fired.
I subscribed the second this short popped out, and i never unsubscribe d
Until they actually leave the store, you cannot legally charge someone with shoplifting.
Because they’ll have deniability. So long as they are in the store.
Oh I watch the same video but in the moms pov
first it was WM, then it's Target. AI did NOT do well on this one.
Disrespect to the person who said first
How does…a seven year old have anxiety? They barely have thoughts
Uhhh it asks about parents getting humiliated and then tells a story about a secerty gaurd gearing humiliated and a family?
