[PARIS ITINERARY]
The city is split up into 20 different neighborhoods (arrondissements) that spiral out from the city center. We stayed in the 7th (near the Eiffel Tower) the 3rd (known as la Marais known for food+shopping) & on our last night in the 9th (right below Montmartre which is a charming neighborhood set on a hill).
The One Alma – 7th
La Grand Mazarin – 3rd
ACTIVITIES
Our main activities consisted of walking, (we somehow hit 8+ miles every day) drinking coffee, eating pastries, drinking wine, eating, shopping and more walking.
Fotoautomat – 18th Montmartre – 53 Rue des Trois Freres (so cute and worth the wait)
Secret Food Tour – favorite activity in any new city. LOVED our guide and our fellow tour members. We learned so much about French history through food in the Montmartre neighborhood.
Wine & Cheese Lunch – Loved learning more about French wine and cheese pairings.
Picnic in the Tuileries Garden – Spent the morning going to different local shops to gather all the right ingredients and went to the Tuileries Gardens to enjoy.
COFFEE
(my top 3 – a deep dive coming soon)
Partisan Cafe – 3rd – amazing coffee selection, had multiple espresso options
White – 3rd – cutest takeaway only spot in La Marais – excellent coffee – my favorite flat white
L’Arbre a Cafe – 9th – a coffee shop & roastery based in Paris that owns their own coffee farms in Ethiopia and Peru. Perfect spot if you love pour overs
LUNCH + DINNER
Les Enfants du Marché – 3rd La Marais – probably our favorite dining experience – it’s a stall in a busy food market. The seafood was out of this world and the vibes were an 11/10
Le Clown Bar – this came highly recommended by our favorite foodies
Carboni 3rd- yummy homemade pasta dishes and it also has a basement speakeasy
Le Nazir – 18th Montmartre – Great for people watching in Montmartre
SHOPPING
La Marais District – this is where sooo many amazing boutiques and brands are
Merci – Department Store
La Bon Marche – Department Store
Maison Matine – Perfume
Any farmacy – great skin care products
