Hospitals across France are struggling to cope with a surge in Covid-19 patients. The number of Covid-related hospitalisations has now reached 16,000, which while lower than the height of 32,000 in spring, is a trend on the rise. More than 2,500 patients are in intensive care, just over half of the country’s capacity.
