Have been working on this bedroom. Getting to the point of final touches, hanging artwork, cable management, etc and wanted some feedback from the inspired hive mind before I finish.
Some things to consider:
This is a room for real people with jobs and real cats with no jobs. Ease of vacuming, folding laundry and usefulness of decor are important. A million throw pillows are not.
Earthquake zone so thinking of putting artwork above the air purifier, not above the bed. But that corner is getting kinda busy. Im thinking a couple landscape frames there and the big one over the sideboard I have mocked up.
I want a lamp for on top of the sideboard that illuminates the room. I navigate towards rattan but Im scared it will be too matchy matchy with the sconces. Im a bit at a loss of what would work here.
I hate the closet doors. Hate them. They are heavy and annoying and boring but I dont have the money or will to change them.
Thankyou so much for any thoughts.

Color! Something on the big wall!
The carpets are too small and need to be under part of the bed to be grounding. I might think about a tapestry above the bed as it is colorful but lightweight.
I like your bedframe, but it feels kinda lost or floating. To combat that, I might look for a more colorful duvet cover or quilt to add personality. Sorry, but right now it is kinda giving hospital vibes.
Wow, this bedroom looks so fresh and cozy with such a lovely vibe! The muted color palette and clean, sleek lines show how much thought you’ve put into it. I agree with hanging art above the air purifier and recommend 2-3 slim horizontal framed prints. For the sideboard, try swapping the large frame for a tabletop decorative piece or wooden art board and leaning it against the wall.
