🚨Hidden Gem French Restaurant in Western Springs Illinois 🚨
You guys – this is such a cozy neighborhood gem that feels like dining in a little French village. The decor is stunning, the hospitality is warm and I love a kitchen that you can see into! I’ll be honest, French cuisine is one I’m not totally familiar with, but I was excited to try new things. You’ll see Brad and I try escargot for the first time in this video! Chef Vinny was great and really brought the place to life. In the summertime, they do have some patio seating out front.
Here’s what we ordered:
🍹Jeu D’amour – tequila cocktail
🥖 Demi baguette – 😍
🧅 French onion soup w/ sourdough
🐌 Escargot à la Bourguignonne
🍄🟫 Parisienne Gnocchi – w/ mushrooms, asparagus & walnut
🥩 Steak frites – one of their signature dishes
🍋 Scallop Grenobloise – w/ lemon, butter & caper sauce
🍠 Pithivier avec Légumes de Saison – pastry puff w/ butternut squash (Veg)
🍫 Chocolate Soufflé – 1000/10 🔥🤤
🍋 Petits Fours – small bits or seasonal pastries
I would honestly go back for the chocolate souffle alone! If you’re in the cooking world, you know a souffle can be a technically hard dish to make and this was perfect. With the drizzle of the creme anglaise – come on!! To die for.
🚆 If you live downtown Chicago, there is a Metra stop right in front of this restaurant so there’s easy access!
