  4. I am German born and raised and would like to give you a tip about keeping your whipped cream stable for many days in the fridge. We use a product in Germany called “Whip It” made by Dr. Oetker which is available on Amazon, it is a tasteless stabilizer for heavy cream and is added at the beginning of whipping the cream, 1 package per cup of cream. Also in Germany sour cherries are used in a “Black Forest Cake” also called in German “Schwartzwelder Kirschtorte”.

  5. My husband is from Hamburg Germany. This is his favorite cake. And dang it, now I’m going to have to make it for him myself.

    On a more serious note, when I told him I was going to try this at some point, and that was many moons ago, he told me to buy the jar of sour cherries. So that will be my cheat for this. They are already pitted. And instead of using kirsch he told me to macerate the cherries in brandy instead. That is his preference. But otherwise, I guess I am now committed to having to make this for him. I just won’t tell him I’ve recently seen your video. 🤣

    I’ve done my fair share of Black Forest cake as is my husband’s favorite cake. However our daughter has recently been diagnosed with berries and red berries allergy so she can’t eat a proper Black Forest cake. What could I use instead of the cherries please ? I’d like her to have more than a chocolate cake.

You do not always have to use a damn set of scales to cook you act like everybody don’t know what they’re doing and act like it’s gonna taste like crap if we don’t use this as a scales I’ve never used a set of scales my mom or grandma‘s and on and on and everything turns out perfect. Just pay attention when you’re measuring it up in cups is not that hard to figure out and don’t take a rocket scientist some of the best chefs I’ve seen don’t use scales. The people act like the only way to cook is to use a scale are full of crap.

    I dint know how the cherries 🍒 are treated with sugar and how the syrup was used to moist the cakes layers .
    What a huge piece of chocolate 🍫❤😂❤
    I like that you explain the importance of sugar quantity, the temperature of the eggs 🥚🥚 and breaking each egg in a separate container to avoid egg 🥚 shells .
    And the importance of hand mixing .
