I would like to add a bookcase but it’s not completely necessary if it doesn’t work in this space. I would swap out the end table to something more sleek and the sconce could go if it was too close.
How would that even work with that bump out on the wall there? Half of the back just wouldn’t be up against the wall? Seems strange to me and just unnecessary to put something there.

You could put a low bookcase along the left wall under the railing if you need a place for books. Otherwise I wouldn’t put anything else in that room.

Kinda. You could also swap the hanging planter for one of those floating book shelves. Like one of those were you don’t see the shelf, just the books.
