For our first 2 starred Michelin Guide restaurant, we decided to hit Le Taillevent a restaurant in Paris renowned for their wine list and service.
Right off the bat, the beauty of the restaurant is apparent. The space is beautiful and the dining room oozes elegance.
When it comes to dining, you have to choose a set menu among a few different options. We weren’t the biggest fan of this as one of the highlights of fine dining for us is the fact we don’t have to make a lot of decisions. Having to choose a menu gave us feelings of FOMO on missing out on the others.
The food though, was extremely high quality. A lot of dishes were prepared table-side. 10/10 on the theatrics for sure. The lobster was prepared expertly and the claw it came with was the bite of the night.
When it comes to wine, Le Taillevent is second to none. The list itself truly resembles a bible with the thickness. The wine connoisseurs out there will surely find something to their tastes.
Overall, Le Taillevent was a great experience, but we were expecting a lite changing meal. What we got though, was an extremely high quality meal that we both firmly call “good”.
