Bought a house with lots of colors (red wall you see here) green kitchen and blue bedroom…you name it. We did give the house a fresh paint of white/ivory wall color. What should we do next with the fireplace?
It's huge and bulky. The brick does match our exterior of the house. I'm not opposed to the idea of limewashing it, but the brick does match our house exterior in a way. Or should I add shelves to the wall??
TIA.

I would add built in shelves/bookcase to either side
Shelves, or some sort of stylish storage, would look great on either side. I love that fireplace area. The arch is really a nice architectural feature.
