Funny. At one hotel we had a full spread of meats, cheeses, cereals and the rolls. At a B&B we had amazing rabbit rillettes. Avoid generalizations, because they are always wrong. (Yes, that was funny!)
I will order egg, chees and bacon on the side and put it together bacon, egg and cheese. That's the only thing I don't like about Italy and France, their breakfasts are mid

I'm German and when I go to France (Alsace), I always go very early to get a croissant and a pain au chocolat !
