Harry’s New York Bar in Paris is the birthplace of the Bloody Mary, the French 75, the Sidecar, and the Boulevardier — cocktails that shaped drinking culture around the world.

Originally dismantled in New York and rebuilt in Paris in 1911, Harry’s became a haunt for Hemingway and Coco Chanel. Inside, it still feels like history: university pennants, a mahogany counter polished by a century of elbows, and shelves of rare cognac and whisky.

We ordered the Boulevardier, the French 75, the Sidecar, and of course the original Bloody Mary. Harry’s isn’t just a bar — it’s a living museum of cocktails.

  1. Here in the Midwest you get a beer with a Bloody Mary, looks like over there they serve it with a baby.

Btw a French 95 is a French 75 with bourbon if you prefer whiskey cocktails
