@25:30 answering ur question josh .. arabs definitely spend the most amount of time on their food , preparing and cooking .. usually it contains a lot of spices, steps, and cooking methods in just one dish. Va italians relay on fresh ingredients more so their food always tastes amazing

1:40 I run into the same semantic issue. I grew up eating Ethiopian food (which I rank as the best). My dad ate it while he was in art college. He would frequently eat 1 meal a day and when he wanted something satisfying. Fast forward to him having a family, he would drive us to Dallas (we lived 2 hours away) to have it for special occasions. It was always delicious when we had it & we all loved it. We never engaged with it culturally, so recently I decided to research it. If none of you know, Ethiopia is one of the most food insecure countries out there, which is ironic for me given it has the best cuisine. To bring it back to semantics, in my research I found out about the politics & the state of Eritrea found its independence in like the 90s, when my dad was in school, so now the cuisine finds its home in 2 countries. Both countries claim the cuisine, so it’s technically Eritrean/Ethiopian food. I still call it Ethiopian, but that encapsulates the same awkwardness they were talking about.
I feel like Vietnamese should be up there and dare I say before China on that top 10 list
