The right way to heat those main courses is to open it just a little and then let the heater do its job. That almost closed lid keeps that steam inside and heats the food all over. It burns a little on the bottom, but it's so little that it doesn't matter and it burns anyway even if you stir it while heating.
It might not be gross to the French folks, but honestly I see this stuff and think we really should feed the troops better food, doesn't really matter what country.

Your mre videos are usually good, this one not so much. You guys kinda screwed up the cooking process, can’t blame it on the food.

The cans for the hot meals look annoying for anyone out in the field. I can see anyone skip using those burners and just eat it cold. I don't understand why everyone doesn't incorporate the heater bags. Makes things hot, no mess, no burning of food. Just pour some water and your done.
