With squeeze pack main courses, gourmet shelf stable sandwiches and wraps, the most delicious instant coffee, protein pudding, and a slew of snacks, this ration is like a luxury variant of the US FSR. Originally called RFC, or Special Combat Ration, this thing used to be in a light tan larger ziploc style outer pack. That thing made it easy for the components to shift, causing possible tears or punctures. This tight pack on the new style packaging is more efficient and prevents damage to the food inside. This is one of my personal favorite combat rations ever produced.

  1. I felt like we were watching you unpack that thing forever!! Looks great! Thanks for another great video, Steve.

  2. Really wish stuff like this was more available on secondary market for $10-20 or so. Not like $150 if your lucky. I miss seeing more of the euro MRE's with a lot of cool packaged like almost civilian stuff. Recently found a Euro market and loaded up on sprats, pelmini, kvass (eww) and first time trying pork patte. Kinda grossed out by ingredients of pork fat/ skin/ etc. (But soooo good)

  3. I always watch these till the end. I left the Army and was sick of m.r.e. and I catch myself saying I want try that

  4. The thickened juice reminds me of what my father was given to drink after he had a stroke – you are less likely to get a thicker fluid into your lungs if you can't swallow well.

  5. The goop squeezed onto the tortillas and holding its shape looked a bit gross but I believe you that it tasted good haha…. Thanks for another video Steve 💙

  6. Those pouches are actually already being used in civilian applications. I have a box of Apple Sauce that uses the exact same design. There is always a little left in the spout/mouth tube thing.
