  1. A piece that caught my eye was at 6:50, to the left of Edd in the video, it appears to be an Art Deco door chest in gold, green and black (or that appears to be the colors in the video). It's a simple design that would work nicely into a modern or an eclectic bedroom decorating scheme, or a sitting room, any number of rooms where even with a simplee design, it looks like it could make a statement. It also appears at 2:28 in the background when you were looking at the twin chandeliers (or a similar piece, not sure if this was at the same stall). Another couple of pieces, Mid Century Modern (or maybe Deco), are at 1:30 time stamp, the two blue and gold drawer chests (?). Very striking (plus, if you look to the right of these, there's the Art Deco door chest I mentioned above. I agree with Edd, that gilded mirror was very special, as was the double doors you looked at (and considering the price of new doors of that calibre, the asking price was very reasonable). There was one stall that you past by that had lovely pieces of ceramics and large pottery pieces. Very nice statement pieces in an arrangement in a large space, entrance hall, or outdoors in the garden or flower border. (Back when I did flea markets and antique markets, my best find was in a box of mixed items beneath a table. Sorting through it I found a metal piece with a glass perfume vial and stopper…from the French Ocean Liner 'Normandie'. Jean Patou perfume, the stopper was hard to remove but when I did, you could still smell the perfume. The container is shaped like the ocean liner, heavy gray metal (would have been originally plated in chrome and found in a presentation box in each first class stateroom on the maiden voyage). And the seller, not knowing that it could be valuable, sold it to me for about $15 USD as I remember. Last I came across one on sale at Christie's sold for around $1500 USD and appeared in the same shape as mine.

  2. I wouldn't mind a longer peruse and look at less expensive things I always find it funny a lot of these dealers do not have an online presence a shame they would make a lot of money if they did. I know stuff moves quickly and these days with the styles of new types of online catalogues easy to change or sticker it sold. I only know one online seller or two not a lot. I liked the bike more for Emma when she's old enough maybe it would be too small for Anna 🙂

  3. Antique French dolls (Jumeau's, Bru's, Steiner's) and everything has come down EXCEPT GAS & GROCERIES!

  4. Where exactly is this brocant located????
Can you send me the address , please.
I want to visit, and check out the chandeliers, all for my own use.
    Thanks in advance.

  5. Thanks so much ! Is the piece at 9:55 made with malachite, faux painted or is it another stone? It is magnificent. And, the entrance door at 16:34 is WORTH building a house around. Oh My Goodness!

  6. Ed! You say to Anna that you have good taste. Anna agrees……that’s when you say…..of course I have good taste…. I chose you!!
BUT you haven’t told me why you put up with me!!!!😂

  7. I would so love to go to the Quinconces antique fair just once! I love the variety and especially the high-end stalls. No I could never afford anything in them, but just to see such treasures and maybe learn a bit about them would be so fantastic! Thanks for taking us there! Your connections with several of the vendors make the visit so much more informative. No Alex?? Your visit with him was always so much fun. I hope he is ok.

  8. I love the ceilinglamp with the pink bulbs, ( in front of the mirror) any idea how much it costs?

  9. Can you show items under 2000. It seems that everything is well over that and I was wondering what the working class can afford, that still has style and form.

  10. Love Love Love the chandeliers and especially that big Lion on the rainy day you went…that was awesome.

  11. I love that you show us unique (and pricey) statement pieces that many bloggers avoid. Fun to see these 1 of a kind items that are mostly ‘dream only’ for many of us. We can always see antiques that are inexpensive but needing a lot of restoration work.

  12. The things you liked flanking the mirror at 5:40 are a pair of Chinese urns or covered vases, I've seen similar pieces made of ivory from the late 19th/early 20th centuries. Rare to find an intact matched pair, too.
