Wine of the day: MEURSAULT!
To simplify things, I talk about the French wine classification system as a Russian nesting doll 🪆, and nowhere is most nesty than Burgundy 🇫🇷
Meursault is a place. It has a physical boundary on the map that is attached to vineyards and a name. This has to be Chardonnay or Pinot Noir! It’s in the Côte de Beaune which is in the Côte d’Or of Burgundy.
Thie wine is known for being rich and buttery!! And this specific one from Slyvain Dussort (@domainesylvaindussort) is filled with acidity and freshness while still being wonderfully hazel nutty from French Oak.
It’s really elegant and spectacular!
