New dining options await Buckeye fans’ return to Ohio Stadium
New technology offers low-touch options
Tacos, margaritas and hand-crafted burgers join some fan favorites on the Ohio Stadium menu as Buckeyes return to the ’Shoe for the first time since 2019.
One new option comes from Barrio Tacos. The Cleveland-based restaurant will have a concession stand on the main concourse this year. Fans can get chips, salsa, tacos and a margarita.
Taste of the Competition returns with the new season and new opponents. The hamburgers are inspired by the flavors of the region of the visiting team. The Nittany burger, for example, has a western Pennsylvania inspiration and is topped with French fries, coleslaw and tomato.
Burgers aren’t the only item getting special attention.
Traditional fan favorites like hot dogs, popcorn and soft pretzels remain on the menu.
Changes to the game day experience go beyond snacks and drinks. The stadium features a more robust mobile ordering option though the Ohio State Buckeyes app.
The QR codes are located outside of each concession stand and offer items from that concession stand only so customers are sure to order from the right location.
Another technology change: All parking lots and garages, the stadium ticket office, concession locations and merchandise stands will be cashless. All major credit cards and Apple Pay or Google Pay will be accepted at these locations.
