This french press is a beautiful addition to my morning. My coffee is warm is a sturdy container. No glass (that breaks easily) or plastic parts. It just took me a couple days to figure out how to use the spout with out having grinds in my coffee.
Dont fill it to the tippy top and ensure the screen is open.

I use it for coffee everyday. the top fits well in the top rack of the dishwasher and the screen comes apart of coffee grounds dont come out easily. If I put too much water in the pot the ground end up in the coffee cup but thats my fault.
I spoon them out or dont drink the last couple mouthfuls.
I used this FOREVER before it broke. I have a tendency to break the glass ones whenever I sneeze, so it was a relief to have one that lasted. In fact, this one was a purchase to replace the one I broke because I loved it so much.
I had a Bodum french press that was made of plastic and glass for the past 6 or 7 years and it was cheap but got the job done. It recently broke and I was in a panic because I NEED my fresh french pressed coffee in the morning.
So I did some research and found that this was one of the best reviewed and high quality ceramic presses, I do not regret my decision. The 27-oz. makes about 2 1/2-3 cups of coffee and the motion of the press is smooth and quick.
Other reviews said it is heavy but I did not find this to be an issue, it is ceramic and feels as such; note: the top is kind of heavy when washing, make sure to put to balance well in drying rack so that it does not flip or topple over.
The volcanic color is stunning and I am so glad I splurged on this beautiful press! I make strong coffee and the fine strainer makes a smooth, strong coffee, you can make a smooth light coffee just as easily.
Bottom line, I recommend this press if you are looking for a quality and performance.
I’ve got a lot of Le Creuset from their store. I’d heard if I bought some from Amazon it might not be as good, but this looks exactly like my other Le Creuset stoneware. I’m completely satisfied with this.

I really love my french press. It is enameled iron so it is heavier than a glass french press. It is beautiful and sturdy. It keeps my coffee warmer than a glass french press.
